Uses company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner. Drivers conduct and coordinate basic maintenance on company vehicles and maintain records in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation and company standards. Conduct pre and post operation maintenance on assigned vehicle daily. Annotate issues correctly Operate shuttles along assigned routes, reporting changes or challenges to the coordinator Coordinate and communicate with guest service, group coordination and marine staffs to ensure that guests receive the best possible service and important information is shared throughout the company Maintains records in accordance with company, state and DOT requirements regarding vehicle maintenance, driver activities and traffic incidents.

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsement
  • Must be 25+ years of age at time of employment start
  • Knowledge of Alaska and Seward history, geography, and standard attractions.
  • Familiarity with the Alaska Collection products
  • Excellent guest/customer service skills including speaking with guests, assisting them in solving their problems, and dealing with angry or disappointed guests in a positive way
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • The employee must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule
  • 2 year’s experience.
