Requirements

A valid Class 1 Driver’s license required
A clean abstract as well as a proven safe driving record
TDG certificate
Ability to demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills and professional driver techniques
High degree of written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to multitask safely and efficiently
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to take directions from multiple sources while performing as a team player
Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required
Dependable with strong customer focus and the ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of our internal customers.
Candidates will perform a proper brake adjustment; complete a thorough Pre-trip inspection, identifying components most subject to wear.

Responsibilities

Driving a Tractor/Trailer, days and times to be determined
Responsible for movement of trailers in the yard
Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled
Check and maintain fuel and fluids in PBC owned tractors on a daily basis
Communicate loading information to and from the Shipping Department
Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
Day, Night and Weekend Shift Flexibility required
Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Stay Compliant with safety standards as per PBC/MOT requirements. Including Pre/Post trips and ELD’s
