About The Position

The Shrink-Wrap Machine Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. This role involves operating the shrink-wrap machine to package products, performing minor adjustments, sorting and counting products, inspecting for defects, transporting wrapped products, performing basic maintenance, and reordering supplies. The position also requires assisting with material staging, production receiving, and shipping as needed, as well as supporting with plates, tools, and ink staging.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous related experience preferred.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
Extreme attention to detail
Team player
Ability to use common tools.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to climb a ladder and step on a stool.
Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.

Responsibilities

Operates shrink-wrap machine to package products.
Performs minor adjustments on the machine to accommodate different products to be wrapped.
Sorts and counts unwrapped products and ensures they are wrapped correctly.
Inspects and removes defective or damaged products.
Transport wrapped products to the shipping area.
Performs basic maintenance on the shrink-wrap machine.
Notifies supervisor or other appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered.
Ensures quality checklists are completed and sign off on every job.
Works efficiently to meet production standards.
Recommends process improvement opportunities to management.
Backs up for material staging, production receiving, and production shipping when needed.
Assists with plates, tools, and ink staging when needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
