About The Position

The Shrink-Wrap Machine Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. This role involves operating a shrink-wrap machine to package products, performing minor adjustments to accommodate different products, and ensuring products are wrapped correctly. The operator will also inspect and remove defective products, transport wrapped products to shipping, and perform basic maintenance on the machine. Additionally, the operator will notify supervisors when supplies need reordering and perform other related duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous related experience preferred; on-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

Operates shrink-wrap machine to package products.
Performs minor adjustments on the machine to accommodate different products to be wrapped.
Sorts and counts unwrapped products and ensures they are wrapped correctly.
Inspects and removes defective or damaged products.
Transport wrapped products to the shipping area.
Performs basic maintenance on the shrink-wrap machine.
Notifies supervisor or other appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered.
Ensure quality checklists are completed and sign off on every job.
Employees work efficiently to meet production standards.
Recommend process improvement opportunities to management.
Back up for material staging, production receiving, and production shipping when needed.
Be available to assist with plates, tools, and ink staging when needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
