About The Position

Waterworks has been elevating the bath and kitchen experience with exquisite fittings, fixtures, hardware, and more for over 40 years. We are seeking a dynamic sales professional who thrives both in-person and with outside marketing opportunities. This role is for a relationship-builder with a hunter's mindset, offering the best of both worlds: the elegance of a showroom and the excitement of outside marketing. As a Sales Consultant, you will work with clients in the showroom and proactively pursue new business through outside marketing. You will be the trusted advisor to architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners, delivering tailored solutions and exceptional service that drive revenue and build long-term loyalty.

Requirements

  • A consultative sales style—you listen, understand, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
  • A strong presence in both showroom and field settings, with excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • A passion for design, luxury, and creating exceptional client experiences.
  • 3+ years of outside/inside sales and/or business development experience in the high-end, luxury brand environment.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales and marketing quotas and goals.
  • Success with developing new business.
  • Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Digitally savvy.
  • Ability to listen and translate client’s needs into sales.
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation skills and the ability to influence others; close sales transactions/deals.
  • Self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM and other sales tracking tools.
  • Ability to market outside of the showroom up to 50% of week.

Nice To Haves

  • Plumbing and/or tile industry experience preferred.
  • Licensed to drive preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally or out of state.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients in the showroom with a polished, consultative approach that turns inspiration into action.
  • Pursue outside sales opportunities—prospect, network, and build relationships with key decision-makers in the design community.
  • Own your book of business with full accountability for growth, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Deliver tailored solutions that reflect each client’s vision, backed by deep product knowledge and design expertise.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing our values and elevating every interaction with professionalism and passion.
  • Market Waterworks brand and products to your assigned Waterworks client list, and client leads provided by the company. Generally, all marketing is to the trade.
  • Meet or exceed assigned marketing, quote, order and sales goals.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with clients by deeply understanding their needs and presenting compelling solutions.
  • Actively pursue new clients through social media, networking, territory outreach, and leveraging existing contacts.
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan that generates leads, project quotes, and sales.
  • Meet with clients in their offices, virtually or in-showroom to confidently pitch Waterworks products to secure orders.
  • Manage all phases of client projects including initial meetings, product specification and selection, providing quote and pricing, following up to close sale and take payment.
  • Provide monthly/weekly updates to your manager: pipeline and project status, marketing activities using CRM.
  • Provide a superior client experience to enhance long-term relationships, brand loyalty, and increase market share.
  • Actively participate in industry and showroom events; i.e. networking events, CEU presentations, lunch and learns, etc.
  • Other projects and activities as needed to drive sales and/or grow market share.
