About The Position

AKDO is seeking a highly organized, client-focused Showroom Sales Associate to join our New York City showroom. This hands-on role combines showroom administration, client service, sales support, and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with clients and design professionals while also managing the important administrative details that keep a busy showroom organized and running smoothly. You will welcome and assist designers, architects, contractors, developers, fabricators, dealers, and other trade professionals while supporting product selections, sample requests, client follow-up, and showroom operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of sales experience; luxury product experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with client interaction and sales support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with CRM systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Interior design, architecture, or stone industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day showroom administrative activities, including appointment scheduling, visitor logs, sample orders, shipping coordination, and general office support.
  • Maintain an organized, presentation-ready showroom and sample room, including sample inventory, stocking, replenishment, and incoming shipments.
  • Welcome and assist scheduled appointments and walk-in clients, providing an exceptional showroom experience.
  • Support clients with product selections, samples, and product information.
  • Follow up with clients and leads by phone and email and maintain client and sales activity using CRM tools.
  • Support showroom sales by developing client relationships and encouraging repeat and future business.
  • Assist with showroom events and other client-facing activities.
  • Partner with the Showroom Manager to support the overall day-to-day operation of the showroom.
