In our Decorative Plumbing, Kitchen, Bath, and Door Hardware showroom, you’ll provide consultative sales support, manage detailed special orders, and work alongside an employee-owned team known for product knowledge and exceptional service. Jackson’s Hardware is a 100% employee-owned ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company and the leading independent hardware store in Marin County. Our employee-owners take pride in delivering exceptional service, deep product knowledge, and a best-in-class showroom experience. We are currently seeking a full-time Showroom Sales Associate to join our Decorative Plumbing, Kitchen, Bath, and Door Hardware Department. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior showroom experience who enjoys working closely with customers on product selection, special orders, and project support in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Requirements
- Prior showroom or specialty retail experience preferred
- Strong customer service and consultative sales skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to stand and move for most of the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Willingness to work Saturdays and select holidays
- Finished Hardware: 1 year (Required)
- Retail: 1 year (Required)
Nice To Haves
- POS experience is a plus
- Direct experience in decorative plumbing or door hardware is strongly preferred
- Transferable showroom or specialty retail experience who demonstrate strong aptitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
- Showroom: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in the showroom with product selection, specifications, and pricing
- Process special orders accurately and efficiently
- Work directly with product vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
- Ring up purchases and process returns using POS systems
- Maintain showroom displays, stock merchandise, and relocate product as needed
- Support a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom environment
- Collaborate with team members to uphold Jackson’s high standards of service and accuracy
