About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company and a leading value-added distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the U.S., is seeking a Showroom Manager for its Savannah, GA Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom. This role involves direct oversight of a team and leading the customer service function within a 4000 sq ft showroom.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior sales leadership experience is ideal.
  • Sales and customer service experience.
  • Proven track record to build and implement process improvement/efficiencies.
  • Ability to initiate and embrace change.
  • Mentoring skills and desire to train others.
  • Ability to work across department lines, manage time and people.
  • Outstanding communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to listen optimally to address problems, anticipate issues and make effective decisions.
  • The ability to take care of a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Plumbing Fixtures, Lighting and/or Appliance Retail Sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Actively leads day-to-day showroom operations, including managing the Showroom team, collaborating with management on showroom displays, clearance center, revenue growth, margin enhancement, budget targets, and process improvement.
  • Maintains and develops a team through hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, setting goals and expectations, and fostering development.
  • Supervises daily showroom traffic, assisting a wide range of customers with sales of lighting, appliances, and high-end fixtures.
  • Handles budget process activities and reviews/handles expenses.
  • Assists customers, both by appointment and walk-ins.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers.
  • Serves as the first point of contact to address and resolve customer complaints.
  • Attends industry events and/or meetings as a representative of Ferguson locally.
