About The Position

Prep Network is seeking a highly organized and decisive individual to serve as a Showcase Director for youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As the face of our events team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of events, ensuring a first-class experience for players, teams, and attendees. You will leverage provided tools, training, and resources to create an elite event atmosphere.

Requirements

• Current or past basketball coach with a strong passion for the game.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
• Experience in running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a team of coaches.
• Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience working with and managing groups of people of 10 or more.
• Proficient in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.

Responsibilities

• Execute all event set-up, check-in, and manage the run of the show.
• Manage all event staff and work closely with event coaching staff.
• Collaborate with the event team at headquarters to organize event details and checklists.
• Communicate effectively with all event staff, including facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches, and officials assignors.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills by adjusting to situations both in and out of your control.
• Deliver motivational messages to groups of 50-300 players/parents.
