About The Position

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking a dedicated Short-Haul Box Truck Delivery Driver who embodies the 'extra mile' philosophy. This role is crucial for delivering and picking up tires and wheels for Snider customers while operating a box truck with a capacity under 26,000 pounds. The driver will adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring efficient and safe fulfillment of customer orders through safe driving, attention to detail, effective communication, and thoroughness.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a clean driving record.
Valid Class C Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
DOT Medical Certification.
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
Ability to work nights and weekends; overnight travel may be required.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to use road maps, smart phones, and GPS devices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
Safety conscious at all times.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills, as well as close attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in similar role or industry is a plus.
Forklift certification, obtained after employment.
Commercial TIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a 26-foot box truck and deliver commercial tires/wheels class 5 through 8, as well as other items to customers.
Maintain a safe and clean driving record.
Execute client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtain signed paperwork.
Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on the box truck.
Assist supervisor with planning routes for efficient deliveries.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and customer satisfaction.
Effectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays to management and customers.
Identify and enter casing information into electronic devices using current Michelin mobile app (MRT Mobile Solutions).
Properly barcode client's tires and wheels and provide an email or printed copy of tire pick-up upon completion of work order.
When available, assist with the scrap out analysis process for Snider customers.
Interact with Snider Fleet Solutions customers and personnel on a daily basis.
Support warehouse/service personnel with pulling, stacking, mounting, and dismounting various sized commercial tires, utilizing the commercial mount/dismount machine, T45A Tire Iron/Spoon Bar, and/or the 'Golden Tool'.
Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure all mechanical systems are operating properly.
Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and demonstrate a safety-conscious mindset.
Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.
