About The Position

We are seeking a Shopify & Omni-Channel Operations Manager to serve as the backbone of our digital retail infrastructure. You won't just be "running a website"; you will be the architect of our connected commerce ecosystem. Your primary mission is to ensure that our inventory, pricing, and product data flow seamlessly between our Shopify storefront, our POS system, and wholesale platforms like Faire.

Requirements

  • Deep Shopify Expertise: Proven experience managing Shopify Plus or advanced Shopify setups, including expert-level knowledge of the Shopify Admin, app ecosystem, and metafields.
  • Integration Proficiency: Hands-on experience connecting and managing APIs or middleware (like Shopify Flow, Celigo, Stockie, or similar) between Shopify and POS/Wholesale platforms.
  • Faire/Wholesale Experience: Direct experience managing product catalogs, order imports, and inventory syncing on platforms like Faire.
  • Data Literacy: Strong analytical skills. You should be comfortable with CSV data manipulation and confident in your ability to audit large product datasets.
  • Problem-Solver Mindset: You enjoy the "detective work" of tracing where a data sync failed and have the patience to fix the root cause rather than just applying a band-aid.
  • 5+ years of experience in Shopify Ecommerce.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Analytics/Management Information Systems (MIS) or E-commerce/Retail Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP or Advanced IMS software.
  • Basic understanding of Liquid, HTML, or CSS for minor storefront tweaks.
  • Experience with Omni-channel retail strategy (Click & Collect, endless aisle, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical integration between Shopify, our inventory management system (IMS), and connected sales channels (POS, Faire, etc.).
  • Ensure data integrity across all platforms.
  • Monitor stock levels syncing to Shopify and other sales platforms in real-time, troubleshoot sync errors immediately, and optimize automated workflows to prevent overselling or stock-outs.
  • Maintain and optimize the Shopify backend, including app management, technical theme updates, and performance improvements to ensure a high-converting user experience.
  • Develop reporting for customer performance and behavioral data across channels.
  • Use this data in collaboration with the team to provide actionable insights on platform growth.
  • Act as the first line of defense for sales platform technical issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve API connection breaks, mapping errors, and sync delays before they impact the customer.
  • Constantly evaluate our sales tech stack.
  • Identify inefficiencies in how we handle omnichannel experience and product listing, and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
  • Manage the ecommerce team to implement optimizations, product updates, new product launches, and content updates.
  • Directly manage eCommerce Site Strategy Manager and eCommerce & Web Specialist.
  • Oversee the workflow of the eCommerce team members.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
