About The Position

We are seeking a talented Shopify Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and optimization of our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Shopify development, including theme customization, app integration, and performance optimization. This role requires a proactive and creative approach to solving technical challenges, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify themes and apps.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
Experience with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce is a plus.
Shopify Developer certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and customize Shopify themes to meet the specific design and functionality requirements of our e-commerce platform.
Integrate third-party apps and extensions to enhance the functionality and features of the Shopify store.
Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement new features and enhancements to the website.
Optimize website performance, page load speed, and overall user experience through code optimization and best practices.
Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and errors reported by users or identified through testing.
Stay updated on the latest Shopify updates, features, and best practices to ensure the platform is leveraged to its fullest potential.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other members of the development team.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer support, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of business goals with technical solutions.
