Shop Welder (Hesperia Yard)
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing basic to comprehensive welding repairs and new fabrications while learning and developing technical skills. The role involves performing basic and comprehensive arc welding, air arc, gas welding, and cutting. Fabricates new components from shop drawings and/or blueprints. Works as a member of a team to provide basic technical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals. Prepares service reports and any other necessary paperwork. Examines workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications. Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order. Performs tasks under minimal supervision and provides assistance to other Welders. Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Requires regular and punctual employee attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
- Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
- Excellent work habits, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality of work.
- Can lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing and welding test.
Nice To Haves
- Auger and fabrication repair experience a plus
- Travel might be required.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic and comprehensive repair welds on equipment and components

- Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
- Prepares service reports and any other necessary paperwork

- Performs tasks under minimal supervision
- Provides assistance to other Welders
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
