About The Position

The Shop Technician role at BDS is responsible for providing the highest quality of service and product knowledge to customers, embodying a professional, service-oriented business culture. This role requires mastering basic and advanced skills in processes, technique, assemblies, installation, and technical evaluation procedures. Technicians will inspect, assemble, test, repair, and paint/clean various surface components (Frac, Production, and Drilling Equipment) according to specific guidelines. A key aspect of the role is the ability to inspect and identify/correct flawed equipment in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Mastery of basic and advanced skills in processes, technique, assemblies, install, and technical evaluation procedures.
  • Ability to inspect, assemble, test, repair, and paint/clean various surface components (Frac, Production and Drilling Equipment) to specific verbal and written guidelines.
  • Ability to inspect and identify and correct flawed equipment in a timely manner based on a written procedure while ensuring company specifications and industry standards are met.
  • Accurate and honest completion and submission of paperwork associated with job task daily duties (JSA, Safety Docs, FST, FNCR, REQ, Timecards, etc.) in the set amount of time.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, customers, vendors, as well as the community in both written and verbal documentation.
  • Perform job duties in the safest way possible with a 100% accident-free, 100% incident-free target goal.
  • Professionally present, uphold, and solidify the representation and respect of the company motto at all times.
  • Frequent standing and lifting.
  • Lifting of equipment must be done in a manner in accordance with the company safety manual (max 50 lbs).
  • Operate forklift (only if you have current forklift training certification).
  • Operate Overhead Crane.
  • Operate Testing Equipment.
  • Perform Rigging.
  • Conform to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by BDS in compliance with OSHA regulations and directives.
  • Follow all posted and non-posted safety guidelines.

  • Inspect, assemble, test, repair, and paint/clean various surface components (Frac, Production and Drilling Equipment) to specific verbal and written guidelines.
  • Inspect and identify and correct flawed equipment in a timely manner based on written procedures, ensuring company specifications and industry standards are met.
  • Accurately and honestly complete and submit paperwork associated with job task daily duties (JSA, Safety Docs, FST, FNCR, REQ, Timecards, etc.) in the set amount of time.
  • Report any non-compliance of procedural action immediately to Supervisor or HR.
  • Label or stamp equipment in the proper manner.
  • Inventory, maintain, and log all assets, both inventory and company owned (Shop tooling, vehicles, etc.).
  • Communicate with team members, customers, vendors, and the community in both written and verbal documentation.
  • Assist other team members in daily activities and job-related tasks approved by Quality & Production Team.
  • Perform job duties in the safest way possible with a 100% accident-free, 100% incident-free target goal.
  • Professionally present, uphold, and solidify the representation and respect of the company motto at all times.
  • Lift equipment in accordance with the company safety manual (max 50 lbs).
  • Review staged jobs before loading.
  • Operate forklift (only if you have current forklift training certification).
  • Operate Overhead Crane.
  • Operate Testing Equipment.
  • Perform Rigging in accordance with current training and Bulldog Services Safety Manual.
  • Conform to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by BDS in compliance with OSHA regulations and directives.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for oneself and others by following all posted and non-posted safety guidelines.
