As a Shop Technician, you will work closely with experienced field technicians and learn the fundamentals of fire equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a field technician position and take on more advanced work over time. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire equipment such as extinguishers and related life safety devices, conducting fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and audits with value-add recommendations for customers, supporting field technicians by preparing equipment, completing shop-based diagnostics, and ensuring readiness for service calls, and performing site-specific training for owners and end-users. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high technical standards. This role provides a strong technical foundation with opportunities to advance into a field technician role working on fire life and mobile service suppression systems. High-performing shop technicians often progress into field roles within 12–24 months, supported by company-paid training, mentorship, and advanced certifications.
