About The Position

PIRTEK Peachtree is hiring a Shop Technician for our Tyrone location. We're looking for someone who is mechanically experienced, dependable, and comfortable working with tools and equipment. You don't need hydraulic hose experience. If you know your way around mechanical equipment and have the mindset to figure out how things work, we'll teach you the hydraulic side of the business. We provide PIRTEK training and the opportunity to develop a specialized mechanical skill. Requirements

  • Hands-on mechanical experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable using hand tools and shop equipment
  • Dependable, organized, and safety-conscious
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the day

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive or diesel repair, construction or landscaping equipment, fleet maintenance, industrial maintenance, agricultural equipment, manufacturing, or hydraulics is a strong fit.

Responsibilities

  • Build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies
  • Identify hoses, fittings, adapters, and components
  • Help walk-in customers with hose and parts needs
  • Receive, stock, count, and organize inventory
  • Prepare parts for our Mobile Service Technicians
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional shop
  • Assist with deliveries, equipment, vehicle upfitting, and shop projects
