Reasons you’ll love working here: Standard Four 10-hour workday schedule Safe, Clean, Climate-Controlled Shop All tools for work provided by Voith Competitive Pay and Full Benefits Package 401K with generous company match Summary: Responsible for repairing customer owned equipment according to Voith specifications by disassembling and inspecting units that are returned for repair or overhaul. The technician reassembles with repaired or replaced parts to meet customer deadlines, with a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Communication and flexibility are key attributes of a successful candidate. We are willing and eager to train candidates with demonstrated mechanical experience from automotive, maintenance and similar roles.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience with industrial equipment / auto mechanic
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
  • Mechanical assembly skills.
  • Proficiency with hand, electrical and air operated shop tools
  • Knowledge of shop practices, machines and related equipment
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Painting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assembly and repair of machinery, including gearboxes, rail couplers, fluid couplings, torque converters, automatic transmissions, pumps, and others
  • Read drawings and document precision measurements
  • Utilize crane/hoist, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
  • Trouble shoot equipment reliability issues
  • Perform work assignments in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Understand and apply quality of workmanship required for each job
  • Participate in a culture of continuous improvement in both safety and processes
  • Other duties as assigned
