About The Position

Join Aggreko as a Technician 1 Temp Control-Shop based in Santa Fe Springs, CA. We provide power, heating, cooling, and oil-free air solutions for various needs, from events to long-term industrial operations. In this role, you will be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA service center and will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors. You will also troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and may work independently or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED.
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Experience reading and understanding schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card (based on customer requirements).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance.
• Ability to move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion for safe work performance from ground level to full overhead level.
• Good finger dexterity to manipulate small items.
• Functional hand-eye coordination.
• Functional grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Ability to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, either independently or with other technicians.
