About The Position

Join Toshiba America Business Solutions as a Shop Tech Apprentice in Peachtree Corners, GA. You’ll work with industry-leading office technology while supporting customers throughout your assigned territory. From troubleshooting and repairs to installations and upgrades, you’ll play a key role in keeping multifunction printers, copiers, and Managed Print Services (MPS) environments running at their best. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Job involves frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Must be comfortable in learning new skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments and follow directions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely under the guidance of Shop Tech Department Management or shadow a Shop Technician while learning in-house service, set-up and refurbishment of office equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose, install, remove, modify, clean, retro fit equipment.
  • Learn to keep showrooms in working order and all machines maintained in a clean and proper manner.
  • Receive training on how to ensure machines have proper paperwork, accessories, supplies and updates before they leave the shop.
  • Learn about departmental processes and procedures along with corresponding controls.
  • Successfully complete all assigned service training (classroom and webinars) as required by TBS Management.
  • Complete any manufacturer training on specified systems as required.
  • Learn and become proficient in troubleshooting failures and repairs for copiers/fax/duplicators equipment, which include cleaning and repairing and maintaining tools and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition.
  • Ensure all demo and sale equipment is set up to Toshiba's standards and meets installation schedules.
  • Learn and become proficient in accurately completing company documents according to service practices using automated systems and/or established reports.
  • Submit accurate and legible setup call reports.
  • Inform Shop supervisor if there is a problem preventing the release of equipment.
  • May also assist with loading and unloading machines from delivery trucks.
  • Complete assignments according to priority while executing proper time management.
  • Conduct job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner according to TABS safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, program standards, and specific safety concerns identified by TABS for use in specific areas or with clients/customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
