You will work onsite on first shift (5:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday) under direct oversight, collaborating with the shop team and manufacturing planners to meet quality and safety standards. Your work directly impacts throughput and part readiness for downstream operations.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship (required at this site).
  • Ability to work the posted shift schedule (5:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday).
  • Experience with hand and power shop tools and basic machine tools.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, sketches, and safety criteria.
  • Competence using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and basic shop mathematics.
  • Good manual dexterity and demonstrated skill removing burrs without excessive gouging.
  • Willingness to work under direct oversight and follow established standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior fabrication or manufacturing shop experience.
  • Knowledge of abrasive mediums and grit selection.
  • Experience with chemical cleaning processes and relevant certificates.
  • Experience training or mentoring others.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate parts using hand and power equipment (die grinders, bandsaws, chop saws, shears, grinders, polishers, belt sanders).
  • Scribe, trim, sand, polish, drill, punch, size and deburr components per instructions.
  • Clean metal parts using hand-wiping, solvent washing, and chemical cleaning processes; obtain required cleaning certificates if needed.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, jigs, and fixtures to verify prescribed dimensions.
  • Follow written instructions, sketches, and established safety procedures.
  • Detect and report faulty operations and stop to request clarification when needed.
  • Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following purchasing policies while optimizing price and delivery (as assigned).
  • Train others on job tasks when required.
