Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to understand and utilize MRP system.
  • Ability to operate various computer programs.
  • Ability to count and use counting devices.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratios, percent and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Fork Truck Certification.
  • ESD Handling Certification.
  • Work Saver Usage Training.
  • Crane Operator Training.
  • Hi Rise Operation.
  • Hazardous Material Handling and Shipping Training.
  • Security Clearance when required.
  • Stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and climb stairs and / or to use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and talk and hear for 8 hours a day.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and utilize MRP system for stockroom duties.
  • Operate various computer programs for time recording, shop planning, and business instructions.
  • Load and unload trucks, handle various materials for receiving and shipments.
  • Count and use counting devices to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Perform stockroom activities including placing/removing material, inventory management, audits, maintaining tooling database, and issuing tooling.
  • Move material between buildings and to external dumpsters.
  • Work from platforms, ladders, steps to heights exceeding 12 feet.
  • Dispose of scrap material as required.
  • Make boxes, packages, crates, skids for timely shipment.
  • Make preservation packaging for long-term storage of customer parts.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.
  • Obtain required certificates, licenses, and registrations.
  • Maintain the work area and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Move pallets of material from one location to another.
  • Move boxes/tri-walls into areas with various pieces of equipment.
  • Drive forklifts and worksavers throughout the buildings.
