About The Position

Ledcor is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Highway Maintenance Supervisor to lead our highway infrastructure, maintenance and construction activities in Alberta. In this role you’ll directly oversee crews to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance standards. Ledcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining. We’re experts in all infrastructure construction and maintenance related projects. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in highway road maintenance, infrastructure, bridge maintenance, or construction in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards
  • Proven planning, scheduling, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or trade certification in a related field is an asset
  • Experience managing bridge and highway projects is an advantage
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes (ISO or other management systems) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction to ensure project goals, safety, and contract schedules are met
  • Effectively communicate with front-line leaders, ensuring contract requirements are successfully executed
  • Monitor performance metrics (cost, schedule, safety, quality, environment) and guide teams to achieve them
  • Assist in schedule development, resource allocation, and execution plans to ensure project success
  • Support front-line leaders with training and development to enhance team performance
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Ledcor’s HS&E standards and OH&S regulations
  • Review financial reports and implement strategies to achieve targets
  • Ensure contract and regulatory compliance, including collective agreement administration
  • Assist in planning and implementing improvement strategies for effective asset utilization
