About The Position

This position works under general supervision and is responsible for performing work on gas compression equipment components and instruments (e.g., pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) at shop location.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or an equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in engine, compressor mechanics, production equipment and gas compression.

• Ability to lift, pull, push minimum of 50lbs.
• Ability to kneel, bend, and stretch over and under pipeline equipment.
• Ability to work in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment.
• Ability to assist the field as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing work on gas compression equipment components and instruments (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.)
• Knowing standard operating procedures relative to gas compressor maintenance and repair.
• Gaining proficiency to accurately and efficiently diagnose mechanical problems.
• Replacing and overhauling compressors, checking bearings, crankshaft, etc.
• Disassembling gas compressor parts and equipment.
• Cleaning gas compressor parts and equipment.
• Reassembling parts (assistance may be required).
• Gaining engine repair proficiency.
• Adhering to all Company and government safety regulations.
• Attending required safety meetings.
• Other duties assigned by manager.
