Shop Service Technician III - Heavy Equipment - (2nd Shift)
About The Position
The Shop Service Technician III - Heavy Equipment is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires maintaining a minimum set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will attend and complete required training classes, diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The position involves working in a neat and orderly fashion, researching repair needs, ordering parts, and completing required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and labor times. A positive approach to work, supportive conduct towards the team, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations are essential. The role also includes assisting with facility appearance and shop conditions, following contamination control guidelines, housekeeping, and performing general maintenance duties. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Formal Education High School diploma or GED
- Experience 1-2 years
- Completed all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech III.
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.
Responsibilities
- Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.
- Wears proper personal protective equipment.
- Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes.
- Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs
- Works in the assigned area in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
- Research repair needs and order parts as needed.
- Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
- Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team.
- Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
- Assists with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
