This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment, attend and complete required training, and maintain a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. Responsibilities include maintaining a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications, performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs), and working in a neat and orderly fashion while looking for ways to improve methods, work area, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to control repair costs, complete required documentation using appropriate software, monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, and inform the supervisor of any cost overruns. A positive approach and supportive conduct towards the team are expected, contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality. The role also includes training and mentoring others and performing other duties as assigned.
