About The Position
Shop Operator 1 JOB SUMMARY: Machine parts according to specifications on different bevel machines. Operator my also perform an array of functions that may include helping in several different departments; grinding, inspections, painting and stamping parts.
Requirements
- 1+ years of machine shop experince
- Experience with manufacturing / shop environment a plus
- Ability to cross-train in different areas of warehouse to assist where needed
- Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.
- Occasionally life and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with grinding (hand grinder)
- Assist with checking parts (Inspection depart)
- Assist with marking parts / painting parts
- Machining parts.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment, sweep, dust and mop.
- Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
