About The Position

This position involves setting up and operating CNC, NC, lathes, and semi-automatic machinery. The operator will study blueprints, layouts, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements. They will use precision measuring instruments to verify completed work against specifications and work with minimal supervision. This role also includes providing on-the-job training to new employees and adhering to all company safety and health policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to read tape measure accurately.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC, NC, lathes and semi automatic machinery.
• Study blueprints, layouts, sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operation, and setup requirements.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify completed work with the tolerance limits stated in the specifications.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Provide on the job training to new employees as needed.
• Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
