About The Position

EverLine Coatings and Services is seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive Part-Time Shop Mechanic & Fleet Maintenance Technician for their Seattle Location. This role is crucial for supporting the company's growing network and involves maintaining the company fleet, shop, and pavement maintenance equipment. The position offers variety, requires pride in organization and reliability, and involves wearing multiple hats in a startup environment. A unique aspect of the role is the opportunity to contribute to building and maintaining a BMW E30 PRO3 race car, making previous BMW mechanical experience and passion for the brand highly desirable.

Requirements

Previous BMW mechanical experience required.
Experience maintaining work trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.
Experience repairing small engines and hydraulic equipment.
Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Comfortable using computers to research parts, place orders, and maintain maintenance records.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude and willingness to wear multiple hats in a growing startup.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

E30 experience preferred.
Experience managing parts inventory or procurement is a plus.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company trucks and fleet vehicles.
Maintain enclosed trailers and utility trailers, including brakes, bearings, lights, suspension, wiring, tires, and electrical systems.
Repair and maintain commercial equipment, including pressure washers, generators, air compressors, blowers, line stripers, infrared heaters, and other small-engine equipment.
Keep shop tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and operating safely.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend preventative maintenance before failures occur.
Perform routine inspections and create maintenance schedules for vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
Assist with fabrication, modifications, and installation of equipment when needed.
Manage inventory levels for parts, shop supplies, consumables, and replacement components.
Order replacement parts, tools, fluids, filters, hardware, and maintenance supplies.
Research vendors to find the best combination of quality, availability, and price.
Maintain organized inventory storage and labeling systems.
Track equipment repairs, warranties, service intervals, and replacement schedules.
Coordinate outside repairs with vendors when specialized work is required.
Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve shop efficiency through better inventory management and preventative maintenance planning.
Occasionally assist field crews during busy periods with tasks such as parking lot line striping, sport court striping, asphalt maintenance, sealcoating support, and equipment setup/troubleshooting on job sites.
Help build, maintain, and improve the company's BMW E30 PRO3 race car.
