About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Operations/Project Mgr., the incumbent provides skilled mechanical, maintenance, and repair services to rebuild large engines and industrial equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers & co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to comprehend & pass various safety training modules.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mathematical Skills-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an industrial setting or use of production equipment is beneficial.
• Prior knowledge of material handling using pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, or overhead cranes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Accepts responsibility for safety of self and others on team.
• Uses and reads micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, standard mechanical knowledge, etc.
• Properly uses & maintains hand tools, and the company provided technical equipment.
• Have opportunities to work on a variety of heavy-duty equipment
• Ongoing technical training to keep up with changes and improvements
