About The Position

Horizon Landscape is seeking an experienced and self-starting Shop Mechanic for their Wyckoff, NJ location. This is a year-round position responsible for scheduled maintenance and on-demand repairs for a fleet of over 35 trucks and trailers, and more than 100 pieces of small equipment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and excel at maintaining equipment at peak performance. Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
• Experience servicing and repairing passenger cars, pickup trucks, 1-ton gas and diesel trucks.
• Experience servicing and repairing medium-duty equipment such as Skid loaders, Excavator (12,000 lbs), Vibratory Plow / Trencher, and tow-behind air compressors.
• Experience with small power equipment including cutoff saws, chainsaws, scag mowers, aerators, and 4-stroke and 2-cycle engines.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Ability to change tires.
• Ability to perform light welding.
• Self-starter capable of performing services on a scheduled basis and repairs as needed.
