About The Position

The Shop Mechanic position works at various locations and may be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. This role involves managing the development of equipment in cities and states within the region, with knowledge of the mechanics of equipment ranging from cranes to chainsaws. The position requires working safely while performing repairs or maintenance in a garage and in the field in various weather conditions, including troubleshooting in various localities regarding equipment repair, maintenance, and deployment. A significant aspect of the role involves working around energized high voltage systems, requiring skill and care to protect oneself and others. The mechanic will also maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.

Requirements

Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
Requires 1-5 years of experience.
Must have or able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Must have own general tools.
Must be able to learn or perform work in the following disciplines: Hydraulics, Diesel/gas engine – automatic, Chassis and suspension, Welding/metal fabrication, Small tool repair.
Must know or be able to learn how to use a computer for: Diagnostics, Equipment Inventory management, Work Orders.
Able to work for extended periods throughout various locations, when required.
Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
Willing to work over-time when requested.
Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies.

Nice To Haves

Certifications of Experiences in any of the following a plus: ASE certification, Ford or international certifications, Altec/Telelect, Hydraulic maintenance, Utility or construction jobs

Responsibilities
