About The Position

H.O. Penn Machinery is hiring immediately for a Shop Mechanic – Construction Equipment in Holtsville, NY. This role involves providing service of recognized superior value by troubleshooting and correcting problems efficiently, maximizing the use of service and welding processes, and actively participating in the company's safety culture. The mechanic will plan repair procedures, utilize tooling and technical resources, improve key processes, and communicate repair status. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and safe work habits, including understanding job risks and adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies.

Requirements

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of heavy construction equipment required, CAT strongly preferred
Must be computer proficient to be able to run diagnostic software and prepare service communications
Must have strong communication skills and have a high level of self-management
Clean & valid driver’s license required, CDL license preferred
