About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is looking for a driven and energetic leader to join our growing team as a Shop Manager. We pride ourselves on our friendly technicians, oil change expertise, and efficient process. We offer a 'Pit Tech to President' growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders being internal promotions. This role offers PAID TRAINING, and experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more with base salaries and bonus opportunities. We hire individuals from various backgrounds, including those with no prior oil change experience, and provide comprehensive training on managing a shop, performing oil changes, and other light maintenance services. Successful employees often join with no prior experience, but many have also transitioned from roles such as servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, landscapers, and other skilled trades.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills

Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, & training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules & submit payroll
- Controlling inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
