About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team. We are a growing company with over 35 years of experience in providing efficient and friendly oil change services. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders being internal promotions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in management or are looking to start their management career. We provide comprehensive paid training on all aspects of shop operations and services, including oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance. Successful candidates can be accountable for team execution and shop standards within 60 days. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who have worked in customer service, retail, restaurants, and skilled trades.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills

- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available for those without prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Performing auto services such as draining motor oil and changing oil filters
- Providing excellent customer service
