About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our friendly technicians, efficient oil change process, and commitment to customer convenience. We provide comprehensive paid training, allowing individuals with no prior experience to quickly become proficient in managing a shop and performing essential automotive services.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Basic computer operating skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior management experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses is valued but not required.
- Experience as a server, restaurant worker, mechanic, retail employee, landscaper, or other skilled trade worker.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding shop financials to drive results and manage budget
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services
- Providing excellent customer service
