About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience in providing quick and efficient oil changes while customers remain in their vehicles. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or in other fields such as retail, restaurants, or customer service. We provide comprehensive paid training to ensure your success.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the oil change industry.
• Leadership experience in retail, restaurants, or other businesses.
• Experience as a server, restaurant worker, mechanic, retail employee, landscaper, or other skilled trade worker.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory.
• Managing the shop's financials to drive results and utilize the budget effectively.
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil, replacing wiper blades/air filters, filling air in tires, and performing other light maintenance services.
• Performing auto services such as draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
• Providing excellent customer service.
