Oil Change Shop Manager - Shop#879 - 5930 NW Expressway
About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at Shop#879. With over 35 years of experience, Take 5 Oil Change is a trusted neighborhood oil change provider known for friendly technicians, efficient processes, and allowing customers to stay in their vehicles during service. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, and while experience is valued, it is not strictly required. We provide comprehensive paid training for all new managers.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a leader in oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, or other businesses is valued but not required.
- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available for those without prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding shop financials to drive results and manage budget
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Performing auto services such as draining motor oil and changing oil filters
- Providing excellent customer service
