About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided in shop management, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the crew’s execution of Take 5 standards. The role may involve working up to 55 hours per week on occasion and requires early hours.

Requirements

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
Basic computer operating skills.

Prior management or leadership experience is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service.
Ensure the crew follows Take 5 standards for oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires with air, and other light maintenance services.
