About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process that allows customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders being internal promotions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in management or are looking to start their management career. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Basic computer operating skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in management (oil change shops, restaurants, retail, etc.) is valued but not required.
- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available for those without prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Performing auto services such as draining motor oil and changing oil filters
- Providing excellent customer service
