About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a growing company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process and friendly technicians. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods.
- Ability to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Shop Manager, or in leadership roles within the oil change, restaurant, retail, or other service industries.
- Experience as a server, restaurant worker, mechanic, retail employee, landscaper, or other skilled trade worker.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Manage inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory counts.
- Place product orders and restock inventory.
- Understand and manage the shop's financials to drive results and adhere to budget.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil, replacing wiper blades/air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services.
- Perform oil changes, including draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
- Provide excellent customer service.
