About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Shop Manager to join their team. The role involves engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card. You will also maintain expert-level knowledge in selling areas, lead product knowledge training, meet sales goals, manage inventory, maintain an organized backstock, ensure merchandise is properly displayed, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Basic math skills and the ability to work an assigned schedule, including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
  • Must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas, as well as lead product knowledge training for other associates
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports
  • Effectively maintain an organized backstock while ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor
  • Ensures their product is accurately displayed to customers through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere
  • Communicate professionally with other associates within the store, the Scheels Campus, and Vendors/Sales Representatives
  • Ensures their work area is clean, organized, and meets safety standards
  • Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
  • Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, including product knowledge meetings
