About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process that allows customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or other fields like retail, restaurants, or customer service. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods.
- Ability to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior management experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses is valued but not required.
- Experience as a server, restaurant worker, mechanic, retail employee, landscaper, or other skilled trade worker.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Manage inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory counts.
- Place product orders and restock inventory.
- Understand and manage shop financials to drive results and adhere to budget.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with various auto services, including oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacements, and tire inflation.
- Perform oil changes, including draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
- Provide excellent customer service.
