About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at location #3073. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process that allows customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in management or are looking to transition into a leadership role. We provide comprehensive paid training, covering all aspects of shop management and light automotive services.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in management (oil change shops, restaurants, retail, etc.) is valued but not required.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and manage the budget
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
