Shop Manager
About The Position
Diversified Transportation is seeking a Shop Manager to oversee maintenance operations at our Fort McMurray location. This is a senior leadership opportunity suited for an experienced professional who can balance people leadership, operational oversight, and performance accountability across multiple service areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of fleet operations in a stable, high-volume environment with consistent workflow. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a maintenance, fleet, or operational environment
- Strong ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive results
- Ability to lead technical teams with credibility and sound operational judgment
Nice To Haves
- Experience within transportation, logistics, or heavy equipment environments is an asset
- Mechanical or trade background (e.g., Heavy Equipment Technician) or HET certification is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and direction to maintenance teams across multiple locations
- Driving operational consistency, efficiency, and service standards
- Supporting workforce planning, coaching, and performance management
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance requirements
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support operational priorities
- Overseeing resource allocation, workflow, and overall shop performance
