About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is looking for a driven and people-oriented leader to join their growing team as a Shop Manager. While experience is valued, it is not required, and the company offers paid training for those without prior experience. Successful candidates can advance quickly, with opportunities to manage a team and operations within 60 days. The company emphasizes a 'Pit Tech to President' growth path, with over 90% of field leaders being internal promotions. They hire individuals from various backgrounds, including those from other oil change shops, restaurants, retail, and skilled trades.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills

- Experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more with our base salaries and bonus opportunities

Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, & training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules & submit payroll
- Controlling inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
