About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at Shop#645 located at 4639 Dixie Hwy. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our friendly technicians, efficient oil change process, and the convenience of staying in your vehicle. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders being internal promotions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or transferable skills from retail, restaurant, or other service-oriented businesses. We provide comprehensive paid training, allowing individuals with no prior experience to quickly become proficient in managing a shop and performing essential services.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills

- Experience is VALUED but not required
- Experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more with our base salaries and bonus opportunities
- Experienced managers may have come from other oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, and a variety of other businesses
- NO EXPERIENCE is necessary – ask about our opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training
- Some of our most successful employees are those that joined the team with no experience at all, but many others were once servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, landscapers, and other skilled trade workers!
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, & training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules & submit payroll
- Controlling inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
