About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our friendly technicians and efficient oil change process that allows customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or transferable skills from other sectors like restaurants, retail, or skilled trades. We provide comprehensive paid training, covering all aspects of shop management and light automotive services.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must have basic computer operating skills

- Experience is valued but not required
- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available for those without experience
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding shop financials to drive results and manage budget
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
