About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at Shop#160. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process and friendly technicians. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders being internal promotions. This role is ideal for individuals who are people-oriented, driven, and possess strong leadership potential. While experience is valued, it is not strictly required, and we offer comprehensive paid training for those looking to enter management or advance their careers in the automotive service industry. Successful candidates can expect to be accountable for their team's execution of Take 5 standards within 60 days.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must have basic computer operating skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience is valued but not required
- Experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more with base salaries and bonus opportunities
- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available
- Previous experience as a leader in oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, or other businesses is a plus
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Performing auto services such as draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and other light maintenance services
- Providing excellent customer service
