About The Position

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. We offer: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, Boot Allowance. This is a non-camp position, and you are required to live in the Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s. We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual who is flexible with their schedule and has the ability to work in physically demanding conditions. Pre-employment requirements include a drug and alcohol test, successful completion of company and site-specific orientation, a Fitness to Work Assessment, and Mask Fit Testing.

CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare shop, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
Assist with inventory control in the shop.
Assist professional trades as required.
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
Load and unload supplies from trucks manually and at times may be asked to use equipment.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
