About The Position
RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our Construction and Maintenance Team. The Shop Labourer will have the opportunity to be part of growing team and to learn about the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment from the ground up. This role will begin as a shop helper, and we have a willingness to apprentice the right candidate.
Requirements
- Valid class 5 Drivers License
- Strong work ethic
- Must be physically fit with the ability to walk and stand for the majority of the day, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Some mechanical experience an asset
Responsibilities
- Deliveries and pick ups in and out of Virden. Shipping parts.
- Receiving and counting inventory.
- Inputting inventory into a excel spreadsheet.
- Moving truck and trailers to where needed.
- Yard clean up. ie mowing and weed whipping grass, snow moving, breaking down conduit reels and strapping together.
- Emptying garbages and recycling.
- Ability to do general maintenance on vehicles and equipment such as greasing and oil changes.
- Repairing and maintaining different types of vehicles and equipment such as pickup trucks, hydrovac trucks, highway tractors, equipment trailers, dozers, cable plows, and excavators etc.
- Cleaning up around the yard and shop
- Disposing of garbage and waste at the landfill
- Assisting with inventory counts
- Picking up and delivery of parts from suppliers
- Vehicle delivery and drop offs
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor
